Triton Sonic Wind Profiler
Sentrex has owned SODAR and has provided SODAR services since 2006. We are now
pleased to offer our clients the Second Wind Triton Sonic Wind Profiler.
The Triton is a wind measurement technology based on sonic detection and ranging. It
provides a virtual met mast up to 200m in height and does so by emitting audible “chirps”
up into the air. By then measuring the time delay, intensity and Doppler shift of the
returned signal, the Triton can provide a very clear profile of the wind at a specific site.
Data at selected intervals up to 200m includes wind speed, wind direction and vertical
wind speed.
What Sentrex Offers
We provide Triton SODAR for short or long term deployment, including transport and
setup of equipment, data analysis and summary reports.
If you would prefer to purchase your Triton outright, we are a Second Wind service
partner and can arrange purchase & setup of equipment for you.
